FAZ

Shizuoka Prefecture established the “Shizuoka Regional Import-Promotion Plan” with identifying the Port of Shimizu and its surrounding areas as a foreign access zone (FAZ). In March 1996, this plan was approved by the Japanese government, and Shizuoka Prefecture has been working on promoting import mainly with the “Okitsu International Logistic Center”.
