Super Gantry Cranes

Container Cranes are the landmarks at Port of Shimizu, and they are painted with two symbol colors; aqua blue and white.  Their arms are colored with “10B/8 Aqua Blue” and the lines are drawn with “2.5PB3/10 Dark Blue”.

Nippon Light Metal Chimney

The chimney support is colored with 10B7/8 aqua blue, and the trusses are colored with N 9.5 white, to make a contrast as well as toning in with the colors of the CHUBU Electric Power chimney. 

For this repainting, an approval from the Tokyo Regional Civil Aviation Bureau was required.  It therefore took 5 years to go through all the procedures including examining this plan according to the Town Landscape Regulations of Shimizu-city as well as collecting written agreement from 65,000 households of Shimizu.  It cost more than simply repainting since the high intensity obstruction lights were also placed.

Receiving Evaporator

Feet of the tanks are colored with 10B4/6 (Blue) and the symbol color, 10B7/8 (Aqua Blue).

Shimizu Marine Terminal

The shape of this building is simple since it functions as a passenger vessel terminal, so its coloration is considered to make the building sharp and showy.

unloader

This is painted with the colors of luminosity between 7 and 8.  It is entirely designed with bright and light colors.  The prefecture logo-mark is placed rather small.

Pulp Warehouses

Number of colors used and where to place those colors at the warehouses are implemented according to the development of the company’s CI colors.  The roofs of the warehouses and the eaves of the rolling shutters are colored with the symbol color, 10B7/8.

Floating Dock Piles

Water-resisting and long-lasting color, 10B5/10 (Dark aqua blue) is used.  The tip of the piles is colored with the symbol color, 9.5 N (White).

Fishery Warehouses

The outside walls are colored with 8.5 N, the roof is colored with 5B4/6, and the rolling shutters are colored with eggshell white with a 10B7/8 Aqua Blue line, which is drawn on the upper part of the shutter as a highlighting line.

Raw Sugar Warehouses

This is a big building by the port road.  The roofs in the area of this colorization plan are colored with 5B4/6, and the walls are colored with the symbol colors.
