Introduction

　 Shimizu Port is one of Japan's three most beautiful ports because of nearby Mt.Fuji and Miho no Matsubara,renowned for as the legend of Hagoromo. To enchance the scenic landscape and make the port more pleaasant for local residents,the Shimizu Port Colorization Plan is being promoted and the area is being developed as an attraction. In the spring, shirasu(sardine fry) and sakura-ebi shrimp are caught in the Bay. In the Autumn, the mountains are covered with mandarin oranges.Later, from January to May, it's the peak season for strawberry-picking along the Kuno Coast.
